On 24 October the first Changxing Island festival opened at the country park, together with the “500 white-collar cycling challenge” of the Shanghai Citizens’ Games.
The third edition started at gate 2 of the country park. The 16 km loop followed greenways, the river wall, village lanes and orange groves, including Fenghuang Road, Xianfeng Road and Panyuan Road, and returned to gate 2.
Groves, firs, greenways, villages and bright kits made one picture, and the island looked alive.
Besides the 16 km ride there were four sideshows: a balance-bike slalom, a turbo-trainer power challenge, bicycle basketball, and a tandem on a beam.
